Xalapa, Veracruz. A una semana de las fuertes lluvias e inundaciones registradas en la zona norte de Veracruz se han registrado daños en más de 6 mil escuelas que mantienen la suspensión en 303 instituciones y dejaron sin clases a cerca de 380 mil estudiantes, informó el titular de la Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP), Mario Delgado.
Informó que los daños a los centros educativos van desde inundaciones, infraestructura, acumulación de lodo y perdida de mobiliario.
“El nivel de afectación es muy variado. Hay escuelas que se inundaron, otras quedaron llenas de lodo y varias presentan daño estructural. Estamos trabajando con las autoridades estatales para atender cada caso de forma puntual”.
Asimismo dijo que agregó que todos los planteles educativos se encuentran asegurados mediante Agroasemex.
“Toda la infraestructura educativa está asegurada, tenemos un nuevo sistema de registro de siniestros que ha mostrado una gran eficacia de todas las labores”.
De igual manera explicó que la SEP mantiene coordinación permanente con el gobierno de Veracruz y con las autoridades estatales de educación para identificar con precisión los planteles dañados y coordinar los trabajos de rehabilitación y regreso a clases.
“Hemos estado en contacto con los gobernadores, con los secretarios de Educación de las distintas entidades para detectar las escuelas que fueron afectadas”.
Además, comentó que se decretará paulatinamente en qué zonas se puede regresar a clases conforme se pueda y la reposición de Libros de Texto Gratuitos inició hace unos días.
