Un alumno de seis años perdió la vida en una escuela de la región Laguna, en Coahuila, luego de ser golpeado por un tubo que se desprendió de una techumbre en construcción, la obra financiada con recursos del programa federal “La Escuela es Nuestra”, no contaba con autorización ni supervisión de autoridades estatales.
Según la Secretaría de Educación de Coahuila (SEDU) y el gobierno estatal, la estructura era levantada por padres de familia sin la validación del Instituto Coahuilense de la Infraestructura Física Educativa (ICIFED) ni de la Subsecretaría de Protección Civil, por lo que carecía de permisos técnicos y de seguimiento oficial.
El accidente ocurrió durante una clase de educación física, cuando parte de la techumbre se desprendió e impactó al menor, quien falleció en el lugar, los servicios de emergencia acudieron de inmediato, mientras que se notificó a los padres y se activaron los protocolos de atención y contención.
El secretario de Educación, Emanuel Garza Fishburn, señaló que en reuniones previas se advirtió sobre los riesgos de realizar obras sin supervisión técnica, la dependencia estatal informó que mantiene comunicación con los familiares para ofrecer apoyo y participa en las investigaciones correspondientes para esclarecer lo ocurrido.
