En el marco del Día Internacional de la Lucha contra el Cáncer de Mama, el Club Rotario Líderes de Puebla, en conjunto con Cáritas Puebla y el Centro de Diagnóstico Sara Ingrid Ruiz Dorantes, puso en marcha una jornada gratuita de prevención que se desarrollará del 7 de octubre al 7 de noviembre en la capital poblana, la iniciativa busca promover la detección temprana y crear conciencia sobre la importancia de la prevención entre las mujeres.
Durante este periodo se realizarán 250 estudios gratuitos, que incluyen mastografías y ultrasonidos mamarios dirigidos a mujeres mayores de 40 años, el propósito es acercar servicios médicos de calidad a quienes más lo necesitan y facilitar diagnósticos oportunos, las interesadas pueden agendar su cita al número 221 282 9018, mencionando el código “Líderes”, y acudir al Centro de Diagnóstico ubicado en la 13 Sur #1701, Barrio de Santiago.
De acuerdo con datos de la Secretaría de Salud, el cáncer de mama continúa siendo la segunda causa de muerte entre mujeres en México, cada 34 minutos se diagnostica un nuevo caso y, lamentablemente, cada 90 minutos una mujer pierde la vida por esta enfermedad, cifras que reflejan la urgencia de fortalecer la cultura de prevención y detección temprana.
Autoridades de Cáritas y del Club Rotario reiteraron el llamado a la población femenina para realizar revisiones periódicas, incluso cuando no existan síntomas, destacaron que a partir de los 40 años es fundamental someterse a una mastografía acompañada de ultrasonido mamario para obtener diagnósticos precisos y aumentar las posibilidades de tratamiento exitoso.
