El Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI), que durante décadas fue sinónimo de poder en México, será objeto de un repaso histórico en la nueva serie documental «PRI: Crónica del fin», presentada por la periodista Denise Maerker y disponible próximamente en la plataforma VIX.
La producción recorrerá la trayectoria del PRI desde su consolidación como partido hegemónico hasta su debilitamiento en el siglo XXI, a lo largo de varios episodios, se explorarán los mecanismos que le permitieron sostenerse más de 70 años en la presidencia de la República y los factores que marcaron su declive.
Entre los testimonios más destacados figuran los expresidentes Enrique Peña Nieto y Carlos Salinas de Gortari, el exmandatario Vicente Fox, quien rompió la hegemonía priista en el año 2000, el líder histórico Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas, la exlideresa sindical Elba Esther Gordillo y el actual dirigente priista Alejandro “Alito” Moreno.
Con el estilo periodístico de Denise Maerker, la serie promete generar un intenso debate en torno al papel del PRI en la vida pública del país, sus errores, aciertos y las consecuencias de su prolongada permanencia en el poder, aunque aún no tiene fecha de estreno, se anticipa como una de las producciones políticas más relevantes del año.
